Raising a concern

We want you to feel able to raise any concerns about your experience with the practice. In the first instance, speak to your therapist if you feel comfortable doing so, with the hope of resolving the concern quickly and amicably. If that is not suitable or possible, contact Kate at kate@katecampstherapy.com. Website and initial-enquiry concerns can also be sent directly to Kate.

Say what happened, when it happened, which therapist is involved and how you would like to be contacted. You do not need to include a full therapy history in an initial complaint.

We take concerns seriously and aim to respond openly, fairly and promptly. You can ask for the complaints procedure that applies to your therapy and for help communicating a concern. Associates provide their own therapy agreements and complaints information.

Making a complaint does not affect your right to respectful treatment. If someone raises a concern on another person’s behalf, their authority and that person’s confidentiality and rights need to be considered.

Professional concerns

The relevant professional organisation depends on the therapist and the concern. You can consult its guidance directly; contacting your therapist or Kate is not a condition of accessing these links. Each organisation explains its own scope and procedure.

Privacy concerns

Contact Kate about the use of your personal information at kate@katecampstherapy.com. Explain what concerns you and how you would prefer to be contacted. You can ask for help communicating the complaint.

Data protection complaints will be acknowledged within 30 calendar days, appropriately investigated and given an outcome. This is an acknowledgement deadline, not a promise that every investigation will be completed within 30 days.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office without Kate’s permission. See our enquiry and website privacy information for how information is handled.
