Fees & booking
- Initial consultation
- 15 minutes · Free · Online or by phone
- Individual therapy with Kate or an associate
- 50–60 minutes · £110
Fees are paid in advance directly to your therapist.
Your therapist will confirm the appointment length when you book. You are welcome to get in touch before deciding whether to book.
Kate carries out initial screening to understand what you are looking for and consider the right support. If you specifically ask for Natasha Monteverde or Sarah Hancock, Kate forwards your enquiry directly to that therapist so they can respond.
Sending an enquiry does not reserve an appointment or start treatment. Once an appointment has been agreed, you will receive confirmation together with the relevant information and forms before your first session.
Before agreeing to a booking
Before you commit to a paid booking, your therapist should provide their written therapy agreement, clinical privacy information, record-retention information and complaints procedure. These explain payment, cancellation and missed-session charges, refunds, online appointments and contact between sessions. Ask questions before agreeing to proceed.
Kate’s agreement applies to work with Kate. Associates provide their own agreements. Your booking documents identify who your contract is with and whose terms apply.
Cancellation and missed-appointment arrangements will be explained clearly before you agree to book. No cancellation charge or refund policy is set by this information page. Therapy is individual and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.
Privacy & confidentiality
Your privacy is important to us. Personal and clinical information is handled confidentially and in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
Information shared in therapy is confidential, with limited exceptions where there are significant concerns about safety or where disclosure is required by law. Your therapist will explain these limits, supervision and record keeping as part of your therapy agreement.
Read our enquiry privacy notice and website information for how initial contact and website use are handled. Your therapist will provide their clinical privacy notice before collecting detailed assessment information or starting therapy.
Concerns or complaints
We want you to feel able to raise any concerns about your experience with the practice. Start with your therapist if you feel comfortable doing so. If that is not suitable or possible, contact Kate at kate@katecampstherapy.com.
We take concerns seriously and aim to respond openly, fairly and promptly. Read our complaints information and external professional routes. You can access these routes without first contacting your therapist or Kate.
Children, young people & consent
If you are enquiring for a child, start with your own contact details and your relationship to them, without including identifying details about the child. Discuss suitable ages, who has parental responsibility, any relevant care arrangements or court orders, how the young person will be involved and how consent will be established before sessions begin.
Consent is not simply a parent signing for every person under 18. In England, 16- and 17-year-olds are generally presumed able to consent to their own treatment. A younger child may also be able to consent if they have sufficient understanding; otherwise consent may come from someone with parental responsibility. The therapist needs to consider the individual circumstances.
Before starting, agree how parents or carers will be involved and what information may be shared with them. A young person’s privacy matters; paying for sessions does not automatically give access to everything discussed.
Safeguarding & urgent help
Kate Camps Therapy is not an emergency or crisis service and cannot provide urgent support outside arranged appointments. The urgent-help contacts below explain where to get immediate support.
If concerns about the safety or welfare of a child, young person or adult at risk arise during therapy, we may need to share relevant information with appropriate services. Wherever possible and safe, this will be discussed with you first.
Contact Kate at kate@katecampstherapy.com if you have a safeguarding concern about the practice. This address is not continuously monitored. Do not wait for an email reply when protective action is needed: use the appropriate local safeguarding service or emergency services.
If the concern relates to Kate, you can contact the relevant safeguarding authority, police or professional regulator directly without her permission. Safeguarding concerns about any practitioner should not be handled solely as an ordinary service complaint.
Find the route for reporting a child safeguarding concern. For an adult at risk, contact the adult safeguarding service at their local council. Call 999 for immediate danger or emergency medical assistance.
Professional standards
Therapists working within Kate Camps Therapy Practice are appropriately qualified, insured and registered or accredited with relevant professional bodies. Individual qualifications, registrations and accreditations are shown on each therapist’s profile.
Kate is a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist, an IPT UK-accredited practitioner, a Registered Mental Health Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and an EMDR UK member.
Using the journal & website
Articles and therapy descriptions are general information, not an individual assessment, diagnosis or treatment plan. They do not replace advice from a professional who knows your circumstances. Do not delay urgent help because of something you read here.
